Being a card BoardGames lover since my youngest years, I’ve been blessed with a partner who shares this passion. We have been goofing around together for many years now, discovering all new kinds of games and dreaming of many boardgames. We are working during our spared time and vacation on two major games tailored specifically for our love of fantasy, magical quests, satirical comedy and our endless fun of playing as a team. Well, cooperation doesn’t come without its challenges and sometimes it becomes easy to forget that we are playing together and not against each other. This tension between competitve achievement and teamworks is
fascinating for us as it portrays much of our daily struggles as human living together in a society. Therefore, we are experimenting with this relation between individual and collective benefits in our games’ rules as a mean to understand it better. Hopefully when it is done, we get people experimenting it as well in a safe and fun place, which can also triggers some real deep conversations and reflections about our individual role in a situation much bigger than ourself… or not!
